We are very pleased to announce that Stephen Fontana, a project manager with experience in leading international IT projects in the banking and finance sector, has joined the Dispatch Integration team.

Stephen possesses the skill sets, experience, and temperament to successfully manage data integration and workflow automation projects – complex projects which are normally part of larger systems implementation initiatives that can have rapid shifts in requirements and scope.

Education, Certifications and Experience

Stephen has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Missouri State University, and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Ontario Tech University.

He is also a Certified Scrum Master. Scrum is a simple, powerful set of principles and practices to help project teams deliver outcomes in short cycles, and enables fast feedback, continual improvement, and rapid adaptation to change.

Stephen has managed multiple European and South American client software enhancement projects and has led numerous cross- functional teams in ensuring workflow automation requirements and outcomes are aligned with business objectives.

His experiences as the captain of a high-performance sports team are particularly relevant for project management. Orchestrating resources, understanding capabilities and team dynamics, being clear-eyed about status and getting the best out of every team member is critical to winning games, and for business success.

Being an elite athlete and team leader have instilled self-discipline and grit that come from 5:00 am practices, constantly working on improving skills, time management, and perseverance – valuable character attributes for managing mission critical data projects for our clients.

Dispatch Integration’s Unique Approach to Project Management

Dispatch Integration has developed a proprietary methodology, the DIVE Protocol, for managing data integration and workflow automation projects. These projects can be complex, typically cutting across multiple functional areas, and including various technologies and third-party providers.

DIVE is a commonsense way to structure and manage these projects, and it leverages leading project management disciplines. Dive’s key tenets are:

Risk Mitigation
Using proven methods from the automotive and aerospace industries, such as FMEA’s (Failure Modes and Effects Analyses).

Proprietary Support Model
Using teams to complete functional and system tests – we refer to these as Validation Sherpas.

Transparency
Communication and engagement throughout the entire project to ensure they are on time, on budget, and on spec.

Successful implementation of DIVE requires high-quality, experienced project managers who have deep empathy for all stakeholders, ask a lot of questions, and maintain a sense of urgency on the client’s behalf. Stephen fits that description to a tee.

Welcome to Dispatch Integration, Stephen. We’re thrilled to have you on our team!
