Our client is a prominent supplier in the process industry and has established a reputation for delivering innovative measurement technology solutions to its customers. They have very high standards and, as a result, require a comprehensive talent acquisition process to ensure they can attract and hire the best candidates. Their recruiting processes are managed using Greenhouse Recruiting, while candidate assessments are conducted using CRI.

Challenge

To optimize their recruitment process, our client required an integration between Greenhouse and CRI. Specifically, when the recruiter submits the candidate’s job application in Greenhouse, a relevant CRI assessment link must be generated. An email with the CRI assessment link must be automatically sent to the candidate. After the candidate completes the assessment, the resulting URL must be populated back into the candidate’s application in Greenhouse.

Solution

Since an integration system was unavailable, Dispatch proposed an automated solution that leveraged AWS as the integration platform. We implemented a custom field in Greenhouse that would define the assessment to be taken by the candidates applying for that job. Once the candidate’s application is submitted, the Greenhouse webhook triggers an AWS function that captures the webhook payload, which includes the assessment code. The payload is then used to generate and send an email to the candidate with the link to the relevant CRI assessment. Once the candidate completes the assessment, the CRI system evaluates the assessment and creates a results page. The integration detects this page and sends the URL to the AWS environment. From there, the URL is parsed and populated in the corresponding candidate’s application in Greenhouse.

Outcome

The outcomes of the integration solution can be quantified as follows:

  1. Increased efficiency: The integration solution has streamlined the talent acquisition process and significantly reduced the efforts required by the recruitment team. As a result, the recruitment team can focus on other essential aspects of talent acquisition.
  2. Improved accuracy: The automation of the process of sending assessment links to candidates via email and receiving the assessment results directly in the candidate’s application in Greenhouse eliminates errors. This solution ensures the correct assessment link for a particular job profile is always selected and guarantees the candidate record in Greenhouse will contain the correct assessment information.
  3. Enhanced candidate experience: By automating the process of sending assessment links to candidates via email and providing them with a seamless experience, the integration solution has provided a better candidate experience. It eliminates delays in the recruitment process and ensures accurate information is used during the candidate assessment phase. This accelerates the hiring process, which is beneficial for candidates and the company.
  4. Time and cost savings: The integration solution has reduced the time and cost required for talent acquisition by automating the assessment process, reducing errors, and streamlining the recruitment process.

Overall, this solution has resulted in a more efficient, accurate, cost-effective, and scalable talent acquisition process that provides a better candidate experience. For companies that do not have an integration platform, or have unique process requirements, a custom integration using AWS’s capabilities can deliver powerful results at a relatively low cost.
