As I sit in the San Francisco airport waiting for my flight, I thought I would take the time to reflect on the first Workato partner summit that I attended this week. We have been a Workato partner for over a year. As an organization that specializes in implementing enterprise integration solutions, we realized the potential of Workato as an iPaaS solution immediately. Workato is a powerful integration and automation tool that is truly designed with the citizen integrator in mind. While Workato is great for integrating data between systems, it has proven itself as a very useful tool for automating business processes. It does this by connecting disparate systems in real time as it passes data back and forth as the user(s) step through the process flow.
The summit had everything you would expect from a partner focused conference, including marketing strategy and product roadmap. It was great connecting with the Workato sales and marketing team and other partners. One of the things I felt distinguished it was the presentation by Massimo Pezzini. Massimo is a Gartner analyst with a focus on Application Development and Integration. Both Gartner and Forrester have identified Workato as a leader in the iPaaS space. What I found interesting from Massimo’s presentation was the trend that we are seeing when it comes to iPaaS. From 2018 to 2022 the iPaaS market is expected to double. This is not surprising to us but validated that we were in the right place at the right time.
As a nice surprise, we came away with the HR Solutions partner award. We have completed and are in the process of completing several integrations between Workday and various other systems. We can really see potential in further automation of HR processes using Workato. In tying an HRIS with several downstream systems in a process driven, real time experience there are efficiencies to be gained, not to mention the potential for an improved user experience.
At Dispatch we are excited about the year to come with Workato as a partner. Our strategies seem to be aligned which is always a good thing.
