The client faced substantial inefficiencies in their accounting ledger entries due to manual processes for creating journal entry files. Their existing system required manual data loading into Microsoft Excel, followed by manual corrections and calculations before importing data into the Dynamics 365 ERP system.

Dispatch utilized the accounting system’s API endpoints to fetch essential data, which was then transformed and formatted into a proprietary journal file accommodating nine distinct journal entry scenarios. This integration involved complex field mapping to meet several hundred business rules. The final step was submitting this file to Dynamics 365 via SFTP.

Dispatch addressed bugs using data analyst techniques across multiple development iterations and rigorous regression testing.

This automated process enhanced efficiency in the Accounts Receivables and Billing & Collections Departments.
